That's what they're coming for. The phone. AT&T is no longer taking any orders for landlines, and by that they mean copper pair landlines. The kind that have been in operation since the 1880's. This is just the first step in coming after current copper pair customers, shutting down their existing service. They may be grandfathered in for now, but it won't last.
They are coming to take it away.
